In the heart of Isla Guazú, Cooperativa Manduvira has established a beacon of sustainability and environmental conservation: the Forest Nursery.

This nursery, strategically located at our organization's Organic Fertilizer Plant, stands as a testament to our commitment to the environment and biodiversity. We specialize in the sprout of seeds, seedlings, and trees of different native, exotic, and fruit species.  Thereby, contributing to sustainable development and the strengthening of local ecosystems.

Our Mission at Cooperativa Manduvira,

We understand the importance of preserving and expanding our country's natural heritage. Our forest nursery's primary mission is to produce high-quality plants that support in reforestation efforts, beautify landscapes, and provide sustainable food and economic resources to our communities.

Native Species: We focus on sprouting native species that are essential for maintaining the balance of local ecosystems. These include iconic Paraguayan flora such as lapacho, jacaranda, and quebracho.

Exotic Species: We also cultivate exotic species that, under responsible management, can provide both environmental and economic benefits. These include eucalyptus and pine, widely used in the wood industry and reforestation projects.

Fruit Species: Fruit production is crucial not only for environmental sustainability but also for food security and economic development in communities. We germinate species such as mango, guava, lemon, orange, grapefruit, and avocado, which not only provide nutritional benefits but also more income opportunities for local farmers.

Production Process

At Cooperativa Manduvira's Forest Nursery each production stage is carefully managed to ensure the highest quality and viability of our plants:

Seed Selection: We carefully select the best seeds to ensure our plants have the potential to grow strong and healthy.

Germination and Seedling Care: We employ advanced germination techniques and provide an optimal environment for the initial growth of seedlings.

Transplanting and Conditioning: Once seedlings reach an appropriate size, they are transplanted into larger containers and prepared for distribution.

Community Contribution

The nursery not only focuses on plant production but also plays an educational and awareness-raising role. We organize workshops and training sessions to educate the community on the importance of reforestation, sustainable natural resource management, and cultivation techniques.
